Know the Word|Bible Study Notes

The book of Acts is a description of the early Christian Church after the ascension of Jesus Christ back into heaven. We read in this book the works of the Apostles, and how great of a price they paid to spread the Gospel to all the corners of the Earth. Luke is identified as the author of this book, and he chronicles how the Holy Spirit moved mightily as the Church was established.

The book of Acts is extremely valuable to every Christian, because it gives us insight into how the Holy Spirit works in the hearts and lives of every believer, and how through hardships and persecution, God is always there to enable us to continue on in the plan He has for our life.
